Dear Japonette: I don't quite see why I didn't get a letter from you to-day unless it was because of April fools day. My whole route is changed now so that if you sent a letter to Burlington I won't get it. I leave for Bellvue in the morning. Will be in Dubuque Friday, and Cedar Rapids Saturday Sunday and Monday working small towns in the vicinity. Then back to Davenport one week from to-day. Mr. Lewis leaves for Chicago tomorrow. I wont be able to get home this week either. I can't understand your silence. I sold a small fountain to-day to start the new month with. Have $450.00 for this month. I got over 9,000.00 sales last month. Hope to be higher on the list when it is published. Dreamed of you again last night. Was out walking with you. Had an awfully good time. Am awfully anxious to see how the folks are getting along with the new store. Want to get home the worst kind of a way but can't spare the time at this time of year. I don't understand why I didn't hear from you to-day. Having grand spring weather here right now. I suppose you have selected your easter bonnet by this time. I don't think I will buy mine until the season is further adorned and the styles are more certain. I have lost a lot of weight since last I saw you. I am not getting enough sleep. I did not get to be until 3 a.m. last night and it is 12 oclock now and Mr. Lewis is not in and all our mail to write. Wales Hotel Dubuque Friday. Magnus Hotel Cedar Rapids Sat Sun Mon. Please tell my folks No never mind I will write them. Your Perplexed Dahry. I wonder why you didn't write.
