March 28, 1914 Dear Little Sweetheart, I really was awfully disappointed this week. I wanted to get into Chicago the worst kind of way but couldn't. You see this month and next month should be my largest harvest and I have to make hay while the sunshines. But even that reasoning did not help my disappointment. I received your letter at Monticello also at Davenport. Was not quite prepared for the lenght to which the "Outlaws" went at their stay but have adjusted my mind to it now. Saturday I went to a banquet with Ex-President Madero's (Mexico) Brother Carlos Madero. He was a good entertainer and "funny as a crotch." Met him through some school acquaintances. Had a very good time. Expect to put in the busiest kind of a week this week. Must travel like a house afire. Monday{ What Cheer Mail Ottuwwa Ballingall Hotel Tuesday{ Allie Kimball Hotel Richland Davenport Wednesday {Davenport Kimball Hotel Thursday {Muscative Burlington " Burlington Friday {Ft. Madison " " Saturday - Budington " " Sunday " " " Will inform you of change. It is just twelve oclock now Dear and I have to catch a 5:50 train so will say good night. I am dead tired and not much sleep until Wednesday. Seems as though all my work has to be done at night and my trading be doe early in the morning. Just heaps of love from Dahry.
