Dear Japonette: I was certainly glad to hear that you are still with us in this land of the living. Your 19 days between letters makes my 10 days look terribly short. Indirectly through the Waukegan papers I learned that you had attended the Waukegan party so I was relieved a little. It has been so long and so much has happened that I hardly know where to start. To begin with the weather is ideal just at present. You are certainly missing spring weather. I have so much life I just cant stay in. I have started my thesis at last and am catching up in my other work. I went to two club dances the last two weeks and one ball game, moving pictures, vaudeville and the student opera play. The student opera play The Prodigal Prince was a real success. There were 5 Kappa Sigmas in it. It had three real song hits in it. Sons that should become as popular as any. The music was all composed by our Mohlman and one of the two lyric writers was Ramsey our Kappa Sigma so we have two more loving cups for our mantel. I have been out all afternoon playing golf with one of the fellows. He beat me one up in 19 holes. It made me kind of tired + sleepy. To night we have an initiation and I as G.M.C. must make some preparations. We are going to have dinner early so that we can start the initiation early. You were correct in your guess that Evelyn and Orpah did not come home but I think they intend to come this summer. It is only a week and a half to our formal and last night the hall we had engaged burned down. We will decide to-night whether or not to post pone the dance. We will probably be able to get some other hall though. I dont know who Al is going to bring to the dance. I will probably have to make the date for him. I am sorry to hear that you are so anxious to talk with young people. I am afraid it bodeth ill. A too receptive mind is often as bad as the opposite. I have had my first position offered to me. A position at Baltimore Maryland. I dont think I will take it though. Dinner time- Tuesday. P.M. Out golfing again this afternoon still having perfect weather. I turned down that position to-day. Our initiation lasted until 11:00 oclock last night. I just happened to think that I forgot to tell you about the basket ball banquet. Our coach gave us a banquet at his home. Had sorority girls as watresses which made it convenient. We had a fine feast and then played billards and cards the rest of the evening. I will enclose the place-card. It was sort of a unique idea. I cant think of anything more to write except how much I would like to see you so I had better stop. It has seemed an awful long time to me. Yet I came truthfully say I hope you have the very best kind of at time. Dont get too stout however you know the styles all incline the tall and slender idea. I am your, Dahry.
