Dear Japonette: So much happens that when I think of writing I cant think any thing to say. There isnt very much to say that would be of interest to you. I made my towns as per schedule. Had fair success in each and got back to Cedar Rapids all O.K. Davenport is really my choice of all the towns in my territory. It is large, clean and interesting. Maybe that is because I meet more people there. I ran into an informal dinner party there at the Kimball hotel and a card party in the evening. A man traveling for the Brunswick Balke billiard people lives at the Hotel with his family and he is the one who gave the doings. There were only two of us there who werent jews. Had a fine dinner though and a good time afterwards. Had a busy time in Burlington. It cost me $6.00 there just to give a couple of the trade a meal. I spent over 40.00 this week in expense money but it couldnt be helped. Stub Wilbur just made this town for the one day. He wont be back here again for over three weeks. I go to Fairfield Mon + Tues. Washington Wednesday, Muscatime Thursday, Iowa City Friday and Marion Saturday. I certainly have some work cut out for me Monday and Tuesday. A greek in Fairfield wants a fountain and there are four different companies trying to sell it to him. Our company is high in price but guaranteed in quality but I know I will have a hard time telling that to a greek. I am going to try awfully hard though. Havent had time to turn around all day to-day. Had breakfast a 10 A.M.. and havent eaten a thing since. It is now 5:30 P.M. Have been writing reports, accts and prospects all day. The wee end always is busy because I have to wind up all the business of the week. Make out new route list and check up. That is certainly too bad about Dwights father dying. I wonder what Dwight will do now. How is Olive getting along now. Did you go in to see her as you intended to do. I cant imagine her being sick. I guess it is because she always looked so strong and healthy. How are you feeling now? Are you still having those headaches? You should be getting a whole lot of sleep now. Really Japonette it pays. After all health is the first thing to consider. Mr. Leriss (my fellow Ligrud) sister has tumor on the brain. She is just 19 yrs old and out of High School. She has been sick a year. Had two operations and is in constant pain. They dont expect her to live the rest of this week. She has done nothing but scream for the last three days. She has lost her eye-sight and is completely paralyzed. It seems that sometimes God is awfully blind. Maybe I am feeling sort of depressed to-day. I might feel better after having eaten some more. That is good news about Lyle + Bernice. Where are they going to live. Highland Park of course. The first of the G.L.Cs to get married. I want to thank you for your nice newsy letter. Your Dahry P.O.
