Miss L. E. M Tarver: - ? Most cordial friends; I assure you it is with the most profound pleasure that, thoughts ever revealed to my dull and gloomy mind that I take the occasion to extend to you these present write greetings. In comeing home last evening I was indeed surprised and enthused over a message of which came as an echo from heaven inquireing as to my whereabouts. I am of the opinion that I am not equipped with the proper english and penmanship to pay my respect to such message in expression of words. But, it seems when that the world is most dark, and one has lost all hope in friends, and the storm of gloom is rageing, somewhere some place a bit of sun seems to peep in upon the gloomy soul of despair, saying somewhere theres someone who would if they only knew send a few words. Which would console a lonely a lonely heart. Where as to lift the veil of sadness from a forgotten heart. It makes my manly pride leap with joy to realize that my association and corrospondence, with you little girl has not been vainly spent and yet leaves sweet memories. No jewels to my estimation is as profound in valuation as friendship. Sceince has discovered many preceious stones, which their value runs into millions, but, the intecruover and binding friendship of human hearts are greater still. If only of us that are blind to nature, could only see & appreciate what it gives unto us, the whole world would be happy. If I would have you to fully see my point of view I will paint it plainer. In life we as human place our valueation in people that we think we like and love dearly, but the matureity of time we find that we have been blind to the real offer of happiness which we all desire in life. However Miss L.E.M I shall not tire your patience with such long missive at this time, I shall appreciate a card at anytime, I always am eager to hear from my friends, I came west in May, guess I will remain here during the fall. Give Mrs & Mr Tarver my regards also your beloved sisters. Will ring off for this time. Write and tell me (ALL?) Yours Very respectfully Westley Dyer 20 RD No. 25 st Omaha Neb -
